Wow I haven’t uploaded anything so here’s something I drew yesterday. I don’t know I thought that Andie and Tyler would get along well or… something… If Tyler was drunk though if he was sober he couldn’t stand Andie.
Got my hands on some screentones…. It’s just like my japanese mangas…
:B Drew the main characters of the Extinguisher comic. BEWARE I might ramble! I decided that I want to go for a more realistic approach with their costumes, replacing masks with goggles and skin tight outfits with casual wear.
I had a lot of trouble with Mia because I wanted her cute face to show but she’s a superhero so she can’t show her face. So I gave her some round goggles and I really liked them! Also, she wears a wig because it makes her less identifiable. Can’t let anyone know her secret identity!
Aidan just likes it simple, he’s not a showman. So for him I gave some thick layers of clothing (he’s always cold) and big boots which you can’t really see in this picture. But they’re pretty big. I also played around with the idea of him wearing a headset but scrapped it.
Maria then again, she wants people to look at her and remember her. So, red. And a skirt that waves in the wind. And white hair. That’ll stand out. She wears skintight shorts under the skirt so that she wouldn’t flash people. She also wears heels because she doesn’t actually have to run around.
Tyler has gone through a lot of changes. But right now, I’m sticking with this. Skiing goggles and a nice comfy jacket and good pants you can jump around in. At first I really wanted him to have gloves but that doesn’t make sense because his power is to shoot fire out of his hands. The jacket has a symbol in the back!
I really want to start drawing this comic soon, but I doubt I’ll have the time. I’m having some trouble with the script as well. I’ll try to get the first chapter done by next summer. I still don’t know if I’ll put it online immediately or gradually as I draw it.

Some try-outs for magic effects. I haven’t drawn magic stuff in a comic so this’ll be a challenge! Well actually the entire comic will be… oh well. I enjoy drawing Mia. At first she had sneakers but I settled for ballerinas because.

Also as you can see in the first one, it looks okay for an action pose, but as I added more foreshortening to the same pose, it’s more fluid and… action-y. At least to me. What do you think?

HEHE a screentonetest….! I made the brush myself, to test how it works. I took it from some really lame image I had, so I just need to scan these better ones to make a high res brush… But for now I’m pretty much liking how grey works in this comic. 8) LOOKS JUST LIKE MY JAPANESE MANGAS…
Also doodled a bunch of Tyler faces to get a better grasp of his face. He’s surprisingly hard to draw. I’m sad I did this after drawing like 7 entire pages, it was really helpful!
Finally the finalized version of Tyler’s superhero suit!! Whew. Inspiration from Namor, Thor and Batman. Scrapped the pouches afterwards though as they served of no purpose.
His shoes look like rubber boots (I bet Raakel likes them).

Made this ‘paperdoll’ image of Tyler so I could design some clothes for him. :3c The main idea of his clothing is that he has a lot of dull colours, greys and white and black but his shoes are always bright coloured! He doesn’t dress like this normally though, only on special occasions. I think I’ll post this into dA when I have more of these to show.
